Sunday Scoop 7-12-15

It is time for this week's edition of the Sunday Scoop!I love linking up with the Teaching Trio for this fun linky!
Have to:
1. I have to/need to finish up my presentation for the tech conference I am presenting at tomorrow!! I have had it mostly ready for the last week but with all the periscope, TPT Vegas and #findyourtribe awesomeness going on I haven't finished it! So that is what I will be doing today!
2. I have to stay away from the Dollar Spot at Target this week! Anyone willing to stage an intervention???
3. I need to dye my hair!!! My wisdom sparkles AKA gray hairs are making an appearance and they need to be covered up:) My mom didn't get a single gray hair until she was 50 why am I getting them and I am not even 40 yet?!?!?!? Maybe it's the job ha!

Hope to:
1. I am sure by now you have all heard of the periscope revolution that Ashley and Angie started! I have really enjoyed putting a face and voice to all the wonderful teachers I am following!  I was challenged on Friday to post a video and I accepted. It was so scary, nerve racking and fun all at the same time!  I would like to post another video of my classroom for back to school. I am hoping to go live with you all sometime this week! You can find me on periscope @chevronncenters. If you haven't joined periscope you need to so it yesterday!!!
2. I hope to finish up a unit I have been working on forever and begin a new one. I wish I could work on more than one product at a time but I can not! I have to completely finish one before I can start another one.

Happy to:
I am happy to get to spend some time with friends this week. As the summer winds down I want to take full advantage of the extra time to hang out with them!!

Thanks for stopping by to read my Sunday Scoop. Head over to The Teaching Trio to link up and join in on the fun! Happy Sunday!!!

  1. That Target dollar spot is dangerous! I love that you said your "wisdom sparkles." My kids call them wisdom hairs. :) Have fun hanging with friends this week and good luck on your presentation!

  2. I am right there with you on needing an intervention. Last time I went to Target it was for milk and cat food...$100 later... I am jealous you are revealing your classroom. Mine is all tore up due to refurbishing, so I won't be getting in for awhile.

  3. "My wisdom sparkles." I love it! I'm 33 and 80% gray. I started graying at around age 10. I went and got my hair straightened on Friday and the lady was like "How often do you dye your hair?" I was like... not often enough! I've got about an inch of gray at my roots right now but not wanting to color it again until just before the start of school, so it will have to do for now!

  4. I laughed out loud at the wisdom sparklers comment! I found my first gray hair a few months after my second was born. I've never dyed my hair before, but it may be time if more show up! I wish you luck avoiding the Target Dollar Spot, but it's like a strong, powerful magnet with an unbelievable force. Have a great week!

  8. Ohhh that dollar spot...it's so dangerous!!

I'm new to periscope, but love the idea of using it for a classroom reveal! I just hate that I don't get good service at school. I'm not sure that would even work for me. :(
