As I sit here typing this blog post I realize there are only 2 more Fridays after this one before school starts back!!! I can not believe how fast this summer has gone by!! I have enjoyed the time off to spend with family and friends! I must admit that I am getting excited about meeting my new class of kinders!! I have a ton of new things planned for this year!!
I love recapping my week with Doodle Bugs Teaching Five for Friday link up!
On Monday I presented at our district's Technology conference. I was asked to share how I use technology in my classroom. One of their favorite ways to incorporate technology is using QR codes. So I shared with other teachers how I use QR codes in my classroom and also how they could create their own. After getting over my initial nervousness I really enjoyed the session ha!! Plus I got to go to a session on a flipped classroom that was great! I may use some of the ideas when I have a substitute in the classroom!
Even though I didn't get to attend the TPT Vegas conference last week I have enjoyed hearing about it from all the teachers that were there. They have shared some great advice and wonderful inspiration and it makes you feel apart of it! I will be there next year! #teamtptvegas2016!!! One of the things I have loved is finding my tribe! Connecting with teachers from other states and even other countries has been an amazing experience! If you are not a part of a tribe you need to run to facebook/instagram and #findyourtribe!
I am so glad that I found my #kindertribe! We have some GREAT things planned for you!!!!!! If you teach kindergarten you need to join our tribe! Search #kindertribe on facebook to find us and join the amazing group of teachers!
I have loved getting to spend time with my friends this week! They even let me shop at the target dollar spot Thursday night. That's true friendship HA!!!!! I have the BEST friends a girl could have! They are always there for me in the good times and in the bad. They are there to say hey your a rock star and sometimes to say that's not a great choice! I have some friends that I have been friends with for 20 years and some for only a few years. Even though some of us are in different stages in our lives...they have babies and I have a 20 year old we enjoy our time together! BONUS is I get to catch up on baby loving anytime I want!!
Here are a few pics of my most favorite kiddos in the world. I couldn't love them anymore if they were my own! They are more like nieces and nephews than my kids of my friends:)
If you haven't joined up with My Day in K and Teach Talk Inspire for their Tell All Tuesday link up you are missing out on a ton of fun! This week's link up was your life as a reality show! It took me a while to think of mine but I had so much fun reading about everyone! Head over to their blogs to join in on the fun!
Last night I tried a new restaurant with friends! I have never eaten at Surin but it was soooooooo yummy. The Basil rolls were to die for and my Thai noodle bowl was delicious! If you have a Surin near you should definitely try it out!
Thanks for stopping by to read about my week! Head over to Doodle Bug Teaching to link up and join the fun!
Gonna check out kindertribe. You might write up your QR post in a PD– I'd be interested. And Surin looks delish! Nice to find you! Kathleen Kidpeople Classroom
