Well, in your case, bucket!! :-) I have felt for several years that my Sensory Table was not everything it could be, and I too have been researching different ways to make it more awesome and engaging for my Dragons! I totally stole your idea about pom-poms and ordered a huge box of them from The Dollar Tree and am going to use colored tweezers for them to grab and sort. I also found letters to add in there too! I can't wait to see what else you do with yours, so that I can copy it!! ;-) I would love to hear about if you're going to try dying rice, that's on my list of things to do!!!
I'm so glad you were able to link up! I loved reading about how you handle the Sensory center in your classroom, and can't wait to read more!

Erin
Kindergarten Dragons
Erin Murphyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11499302100804078242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3217458765634182616.post-53440590940266074312015-09-06T05:43:55.749-07:002015-09-06T05:43:55.749-07:00Sensory tubs are amazing and you'll soon grow ...Sensory tubs are amazing and you'll soon grow to love them and find you can pretty much chuck anything in! We include our kiddos in making them too - we will dye rice or paint pasta all different colours, add some glitter, chuck those in the tub, add in something soft - cotton wool/pom poms, and then hide things in it. You can even incorporate their fine motor skills by using big play tweezers for children to pick stuff out with too! The opportunities are just endless :)

Teaching Autism

Teaching Autismhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12427947356423698816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3217458765634182616.post-78654002887873907262015-09-05T11:04:24.455-07:002015-09-05T11:04:24.455-07:00YESSSSS!!!! Part of the time it goes with our unit and part of the time it's just for fun! We did shredded paper with names this week and they LOVED it! Much luck this year!

Brittany Shannon
Shakin' it up with Mrs. ShannonAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04816930529912822151noreply@blogger.com
